Wedding Trends You’ll Be Seeing Everywhere In 2023!

2022 was a historic year for weddings. Coming back from a pandemic, we saw weddings in a whole new light. After two years of downsized or delayed nuptials, weddings came back in full force and felt more intentional than ever before. And 2023 will see that even more! Wedding personalization and breaking the norm are continuing to drive wedding trends in 2023. Couples will make their weddings entirely their own in 2023, so there is no standard template for 2023 weddings, making it more exciting. So what will trend in this new year? We have the top 8 trends that you will see everywhere in 2023.

While intimate weddings were born out of a need in the pandemic, many couples have embraced it like their own. A lot of couples in 2023 will opt for small intimate celebrations where they pay personalised attention to their guest list and also have fun. This will also extend to intimate destination weddings!

Now this is a new trend we are spotting, which makes absolute sense too! More and more couples are choosing to have a wedding announcement party right after the proposal- or a destination engagement which is a more relaxed celebration like a vacation with near and dear ones.

With people feeling so constrained for the last few years, couples will now go all out with events and activities that their guests can participate in. Think fun outdoor movie nights, games and fun activities that are an amazing way for couples to truly take in as much time with family and friends as possible.

Having unique moments at your wedding is going to be big in 2023. Having your wedding ceremony live painted or having a fun petal and bells bar for your guests to celebrate your wedding nuptials are some of the ways you can infuse this uniqueness to your 2023 wedding!

More and more brides are picking personal style over wedding fashion trends. They are opting for outfits and silhouettes that are non-traditional, making the bridal outfit their own. We are loving brides in pantsuits, jumpsuits and even fusion wear on their wedding day!

2023 weddings are going to be all about colour and joy! Rainbow décor started trending in 2022 and it will continue its march in 2023 as well. Florals in multi-colours are going to trend in 2023.

Right from non-floral wedding décor to eco-friendly wedding favors, sustainable weddings are going to be big in 2023. Couples are making conscious decisions to cut down on emissions by using local vendors and produce as well as reducing food wastage. In every part of wedding planning, efforts are being made to go sustainable.

Your wedding mandap is the focal point of your wedding day. Mandaps are getting more and more creative by the day along with wedding locations. Upside-down trees, weddings at the foot of the mountains, forest weddings, rustic boho mandaps – all these are going to trend in 2023!

lso dubbed the “night luxe vibe,” this trend is about evening weddings that translates to a post-wedding party at night. It’s a moody vibe and a reason to class things up: flash photography, the play of lights, drone shows, fireworks and so much more!

  • Chennai Wedding With Fabulous Decor & Offbeat Themes

Now here is a wedding which was very special in the truest sense! Every element in this wedding was thoroughly thought of, right from the themes to the decor to the couple’s outfits. Sneha and Ethan had a cross-culture wedding in Chennai, but the bride wanted the groom and his family to experience an Indian wedding in its full glory, and this one was definitely glorious. The decor had a unique charm, and we loved how everything came together.

The couple met at University of Chicago where they were pursuing their respective courses.

The Mehendi at the Hilton Chennai was done in an authentic Rajasthani style. Every single element be it the centerpieces or the carpets or the cabana fabric was sourced made-to-order by artisans from across Rajasthan. A unique concept of a haat was implemented at the Q-Bar Hilton which featured stalls like perfume bars, tarot reading, bangle making, rice engraving, and goodies in potli bags to name a few. The mood of the evening was to recreate the beauty of the Hawa Mahal in Jaipur with the bridal corner having multi-colored stained glasses and hand-painted arches.

The Wedding was held at Sneha’s ancestral family temple. To continue the thematic feel of the previous evening, red patola print fabrics flanked a 100-feet pillared walkway we’d created at the temple and intertwined with floral chandeliers and motif fabric danglers to segue into the South Indian feel for the wedding. The Mandap was built with Chettinad pillars and a backdrop of a completely floral Meenakshi Sundareshwar artwork.

The couple wanted an informal walkaround reception hence the theme was based on Pushkarini – the concept of a waterbody in the center of any temple in India (Theppa Kulam). These are filled with lotuses by day and diyas by night. We created a massive 40 ft x 30 ft pond filled with water, lotuses, rose petals, and diyas with all seating planned around this pond.
